Ingredients
  

  • 1 Cup Refined flour / Maida
  • 1 Pinch Salt / Namak
  • 3 Tbsp Oil / Tel
  • 3/4 Cup Sugar / Cheeni
  • 1/4 Cup Water / Pani
  • 1/2 Tsp green Cardamom powder / Elaechi
  • Liittle Desiccated Coconut / Sukha Nariyal Optimal
  • Oil or Ghee for frying

Instructions
 

  • To make Shakarpara in refined flour add Salt and mix.
  • Now rub warm Ghee in the flour.
  • Gradually adding Water make a stiff dough.
  • Cover and let the dough rest for about 5 minutes.
  • Divide the dough in two portions and roll out each portion in atleast 2 cm thick roti.
  • Cut out in diamond shape or square shape.
  • Fry in medium hot Oil or Ghee on a low heat till crisp golden brown.
  • Fry all the Shakarpara and keep them aside.
  • Next melt Sugar in Water on low and then keeping heat medium let the syrup come to boil till you get one thread consistency.
  • Add Cardamom powder and fried Shakarpara to the Sugar syrup,then stirring continuously cook for 2 minutes on low.
  • Switch off but keep on stirring till sugar dries, gets crystalized and form a white coating over the shakarpara.
  • Sprinkle some desiccated coconut all over the Shakarpara.
  • Eat Store and Enjoy!
