Traditional Bihari Sweet - Thekua

Mix 2 cups of wheat flour with 4 tbsp of clarified butter (desi ghee) by rubbing them together between your palms.

Add 1 cup of jaggery powder, 1/2 tsp of green cardamom powder, 2 tbsp of chopped dry fruits & 2 tbsp of desiccated coconut to the mix.

Gradually knead the mixture into a stiff dough, adding water little by little.

Take portions of the dough, about the size of a big lemon, and shape them into cookies with any desired design.

Instant Rice  Uttapam

Heat oil or ghee in a pan over medium heat and fry Thekua until they turn golden brown & crisp.

Once fried, strain out the Thekua and allow them to cool to room temperature .
