Dahi Wali  Lauki - Yakhni

Cut Bottle gourd into cubes.

Heat 2-3 tbsp Mustard Oil.

Fry Bottle gourd pieces till translucent.

Strain them out.

In left Oil add 1 pinch Asafoetida, 2 Bayleaves, 1 inch Cinnamon broken to pieces, 1 mashed black Cardamom, 3 Cloves & 1 tsp Cumin.

Let spices roast on low few seconds.

Add 1 cup Curd & stir till it starts boiling.

Add Salt to taste,1/2 tsp Dry Ginger powder and 1 tsp heaped Fennel seed powder .

Stir till Curd starts boiling.

Drop fried Bottle gourd pieces and 1/2 tsp Garam masala .

Add 2-3 cups Water.

Step

Cover and cook 15 to 20 minutes till soft.
