Instead of using the khoya /mawa these white sesame laddu recipe can also be made using sugar or for more healthy option it can be prepared using jaggery.You just need to melt sugar or the jaggery in some water til you get a one thread consistency syrup and then add to it roasted safed til , mix and then bind into laddu when still warm.For flavour here too you can add some desiccated coconut to get that amazing til coconut/nariyal ladoo.We have used here powdered sugar instead of syrup because we are getting moisture for binding ladoos from the khoya.

Ingredients
- 1 cup Sesame seeds / Safad Til
- 1/2 cup fresh grated Coconut
- 125 gm Mawa or Khoya
- 1/2 cup powdered Sugar
- 1/2 cup crushed Cashews
- 1/2 tsp Green cardamom / Hari elachi
Instructions
- Roast Sesame seeds over medium heat till it starts changing colour,it hardly takes 5 minutes.
- Let this now come down to room temperature.
- Roast Coconut over low till it starts changing colour and smells appealing.
- Now keep this also aside to cool.
- Grind Sesame seeds to powder.
- Now heat Mawa over medium till Oil oozes out.and Mawa changes colour.
- When Mawa still warm add and mix in side kept grinder Sesame seeds,Coconut,Sugar,Cashews and Cardamom.
- Now taking a teaspoon of water in your hand press and bind Laddu.
- Coat the laddus with Sesame seeds.
- Serve or you can even store them for 2 weeks.
Note
- Over roasted Sesame seeds might turn bitter.
- If the mix cools down reheat it over a low heat and bind the ladoo.
