An Eggless vegetarian version of Panna Cota made using fruit juice and natural form of sugar .It can even be called a vegan Panna Cota because milk has not been used plus as a stabiliser we have used Agar agar which is a form of vegetarian gelatin.Make to enjoy.
Ingredients:-
FIRST LAYER
- 3/4 tsp Agar-Agar
- 1 cup Water / Pani
- Sugar or Honey as per taste / Cheeni ya Shahad
- 1 cup Strawberry or mixed fruit juice
SECONDS LAYER
- 3/4 tsp Agar-Agar
- 1 cup Water / Pani
- Sugar or Honey as per taste / Cheeni ya Shahad
- 1 cup Coconut milk
THIRD LAYER
- 3/4 tsp Agar-Agar
- 1 cup Water / Pani
- Sugar or Honey as per taste / Cheeni ya Shahad
- 1 cup Mango pulp
Some fruits and Basil leaves to garnish
Method:-
- For making first layer before adding fruit pulp or juice add Agar-Agar in water.Start boiling Water till 1/4th and no traces of Agar-Agar found in Water.
- Then add strawberry fruit juice with Sugar or Honey as sweetener.,give it just one boil put off the stove.
- Bring it down from hot to warm and then pour 1/4th in glasses.
- Refrigerate for about an hour to make first layer firm.
- To make the second layer repeat the first step and then add Coconut milk along with any sweetener.Give it one boil let it come down from hot to warm.
- Pour over first layer and again refrigerate for about an hour to make the layer firm.
- To make third layer repeat step one again adding Mango juice with sweetener.Put off in one boil and bring it down from hot to warm.
- Pour in glasses as third layer and refrigerate till fully chilled.
- Garnish with some fruits and serve chilled.
Tips :-
- Add Agar-Agar to normal Water,if you add to hot Water it might form lumps.
- Don’t add Honey to boiling liquid ,it can become toxic.
- Take out glasses some time before making another layer so they come down to room temperature when pouring another layer.As too much difference in temperature might break glass.
