Make a healthy and nutritious breakfast with this wheat dalia that can even help in weight loss.
Ingredients :- ( Serves 4 )
- 12 wet Dates / Khajur
- 1/2 cup Milk
- 1 cup broken Wheat / Daliya
- 3 tbsp Clarified butter / Desi Ghee
- 1/2.tsp. Green cardamom / Hari elachi
- 4 cup Water
- 1 tbsp Dry fruits
Method:-
- Deseed Dates and to this add warm or room temperature milk.
- Grind this into a paste.
- Now in. kadai roast Daliya over medium till it’s golden brown.
- Then add water and the made paste.
- We need to cook this over low to medium till it’s dry but still moist.
- Meanwhile add Elachi and chopped dry fruits.Keep some aside for garnish.
- Within 5 minutes water dries away with little amount of Ghee oozing out and our halwa is ready.
- Serve hot garnished with some more chopped dry fruits.
Tips :-
- Adding warm milk to Dates will make It easily soft.
