If you love to eat Rajma then I am quiet sure you will love this Soyabean Dal curry,which is not only rich in protein but also taste.

Ingredients:-

  • 2 cup Soyabean Dal
  • Salt to taste
  • 1/4 tsp Baking soda
  • 2 tbsp Oil / Tel
  • 1 tsp Cumin / Zeera
  • 1 inch Cinnamon / Dalchini
  • 3 Cloves / Loung
  • 1 black Cardamom / Badi elaechi
  • 2 big Onions / Pyaz
  • 1 tsp Ginger paste / Adrakh
  • 1 tsp Garlic paste / Lasan
  • 1 tsp Red Chilli powder / Lal mirch
  • 1 tsp Turmeric / Haldi
  • 1 tsp Coriander powder / Dhaniya
  • 2 Tomatoes / Tamatar
  • 1/2 tsp Chilli paste / Mirch
  • 1/2 tsp Garam Masala
  • Some fresh Coriander ( Optional )

Method:-

  1. Rinse Soyabean couple of times and then Soak it in about 4 cups of Water adding a teaspoon of Salt and Baking soda for 4 hours.
  2. In a pressure cooker heat Oil.Add Cumins and let it to crackle few seconds over low .
  3. Also drop in Cinnamon,Cloves and broken Black Cardamom .
  4. Within few seconds add chopped Onion and sauté over medium to high for few minutes.
  5. Then add Ginger-Garlic paste.Niw keeping heat low sauté till Onions turn golden brown.
  6. Next add in Tomato purée and Chilli paste.Over medium-high stirring occasionally cook Tomatoes till Water dries.
  7. Now drop in red Chilli powder,Turmeric, Salt and Coriander powder.Roast spices over low 30-40 seconds.
  8. Add in the soaked Soyabean and mix it with made masala.
  9. Now add 4-5 cups of Water to pressure cook for 10-15 minutes.
  10. At last sprinkle and mix Garam masala and garnish with some fresh Coriander.
