Sabudana papad is a simple and easy to make homemade fryums which is made in almost every Indian household.
Ingredients:- ( Serves 12 )
- 1/2 cup Sago / Sabudana
- 1 cup Water / Pani
- 1/4 tsp Salt / Namak
- 1/2 tsp Pepper / Kali mirch
- 1/2 tsp Chaat masala
- 1/2 tsp Cumin / Zeera
- 1/2 tsp Onion powder / Pyaz powder
- Oil to fry / Tel
Method:-
- Rinse Sabudana couple of times and keep it soaked in Water for 4-5 hours.
- Now add all the spices – Salt,Pepper,Chaat masala,Cumin and Onion powder.Mix
- Take a greased plate or Thali ,taking a teaspoon of Sabudana spread it flat and thin on the thali
- After making all the Sabudana Papad keep the Thali over the boiling water to steam for 2-3 minutes on medium heat .
- Now let the Papad come down to room temperature to transfer them in another plate or cloth to dry.
- We will make them dry till hard in Sunlight or in fridge.
- Fry dried Sabudana Papad in hot Oil on medium till crispy golden.
- Strain out and enjoy.
Tips :-
- You can use any quality of Sabudana
- After soaking Sabudana if there is still Water remaining discard it.
- Steam in a steamer or rice cooker or over the stove top in a wide mouth Kadai or any big wide vessel.
- After steaming Sabudana Pearls will get soft and transparent.
