Who is not familiar with Pizza.Lets make your favourite Puzza over gas top without Oven.
Ingredients:- ( Serving 4-8 )
DOUGH BASE
- 2 cup Refined flour / Maida
- 1/2 tsp Salt / Namak
- 1 tbsp Oil / Tel
- 1/2 cup + 1 tbsp Water / Pani
- 2+1 /2 tsp Baking powder
TOPPING
- 1 big Onion / Pyaz
- 1/2 Capsicum / Shimla mirch
- 1/4 cup blanched Soya nuggets
- 1/4 cup Sweet corn
- 1/2 tbsp Oil / Tel
- 1/4 tsp Pizza seasoning
- 1/4 tsp Pepper / Kali mirch
- 1/2 tsp Garlic paste or Garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp Salt / Namak
APPLY ON PIZZA
- 1/2 cup Pizza sauce
- 150 gm Processed or Mozzerella cheese
- Little chilli flakes
- Little Oregano or Pizza seasoning
Method :-
- Mix all the ingredients to form a soft dough adding Water little at a time.
- Rest the dough for about 30 minutes.
- Lets co@t the veggies with a mix of Oil,Pepper ,Garlic paste and Pizza seasoning.
- Now add Salt and mix.Keep to rest for about 30 min and let the veggies absorb all the flavour of spices.
- Now roll out a big thick Pizza base sized according to your Pan or Griddle / Tawa.
- Place the base on your tawa forming a crust around.
- Pierce it around with a fork so it doesn’t puff up like a roti when being baked.
- Cover with a lid or thali and bake for 3-5 minutes over a low heat till the base gets firm and doesn’t seem like a raw dough any more.
- Apply Pizza sauce,spread shredded cheese and place the marinated veggies.
- Now keep another tawa under your pizza baking pan to ensure that your Pizza doesn’t get burnt and bake it over low with a lid on for 15-20 min.
- If you want a more crisp pizza base keep it for another 15 min over liw heat.
- Before serving sprinkle little chilli flakes and Oregano.Now ready to cut and serve.
Tips :-
- Adding Salt after coating veggies with Oi avoids release of Water from veggies.
- We have used a 10 inch non stick Dosa tawa.If you are using a regular iron tawa grease it before putting the Pizza base.
- You can even spread your base with your hand.
- If you add processed cheese you wont get strings like you get by adding lots of Mozzerella cheese..
