Paneer Tikka on Stove

At home make a quick Paneer tikka without an oven or tandoor on gas stove easily within no time .

Ingredients:-

  • 4 tbsp Curd / Dahi
  • 3 tbsp Gram flour / Besan
  • 1/2 tsp Salt / Namak
  • 1/2 tsp Cumin / Zeera powder
  • 1/2 tsp Garam Masala
  • 1/4 tsp Black salt / Kala Namak
  • 1/4 tsp Cloves / Loung powder
  • 1 tbsp dry fenugreek leaves / Kasoori methi
  • 1 tbsp Coriander leaves / Dhaniya
  • 1 tsp Kashmiri red chilli powder / Lal mirch
  • 1/4 tsp green cardamom / Hari elachi powder
  • 1/2 tsp Chaat masala
  • 1 tsp Garlic / Lasan paste
  • 1 tsp Ginger / Adrakh paste
  • 1/4 tsp Cinnamon / Dalchini powder
  • 1 medium Lemon / Nimbhu juice
  • 3 tbsp Mustard Oil / Sarso tel
  • 250 gm Cottage cheese  / Paneer
  • 4 small half boiled Potatoes / Aloo
  • 1 medium Capsicum / Shimla Mirch
  • Butter to brush

Method:-

  1. In a bowl add Curd,Gram flour,Salt,Cumin powder,Garam masala,Black salt,Cloves powder,Dry Fenugreek,Coriander leaves,Kashmiri red chilli powder,Green cardamom powder,Chaat masala,Garlic paste,Ginger paste,Cinnamon powder,Lemon juice and Mustard Oil.Mix all together into a batter.
  2. Now drop in the cheese cubes,boiled Potatoes cut into half which have been half boiled in Salted water and Capsicum pieces.
  3. Completely coat the cheese,Potatoes and Capsicum pieces with the marination batter.
  4. Keep marinated for minimum for 1 hour or upto 2-3 hours.
  5. Next arrange Cottage cheese,Potato and Capsicum pieces into a skewer.
  6. Roast over a high gas stove flame rotating.
  7. Apply little butter and serve hot.

Tips :-

  • Use metal skewers instead of wooden.
