A new innovative and interesting way to make instant Jelabi without losing that juicy flavour.

Ingredients:- ( Serves 12 )

  • 175 gm Cottage cheese / Paneer
  • 5 tbsp Corn flour
  • 1/4 cup Milk / Doodh
  • 1/2 pinch orange food colour / Kesari rang
  • 1 pinch Baking soda / Khanne Ka soda
  • 1 cup Sugar / Cheeni
  • 3/4 cup Water / Pani
  • 1/2 tsp green Cardamom powder / Hari elaechi
  • Oil or Ghee to fry
  • Some Pistachios for garnish

Method:-

  1. Make a Sugar syrup adding Water to Sugar and let the Sugar melt over a low.
  2. When the Sugar melts and starts boiling add Cardamom powder to it.
  3. We just need a sticky Sugar syrup without any thread consistency,so put off the stove after syrup boils for couple of minutes.
  4. Add Paneer,Milk,Corn flour,Food colour and Baking soda to a mixerJar and grind it into a paste.
  5. Pour the semi thick paste to a piping bag with a small hole or a star nozzle.
  6. And then pipe out the Jalebi’s in a medium hot Oil or Ghee.Fry over medium heating both sides till crisp.
  7. Immediately drop in warm syrup and let it sit for 60-90 seconds.
  8. Take and garnish with some Pistachios.

Tips :-

  • Fry Jalebi in wide mouth vessel with at least 1-1/2 inch Oil or Ghee in it.
