Momo are originally from Tibet and Nepal but now its most popular street food of India.

Ingredients:- ( Serve 8-10 )

MOMO DOUGH

  • 1 cup Refined flour / Maida
  • 1/2 tsp Salt / Namak
  • Less than 1/2 cup Water / Pani
  • Little Oil / Tel

MOMO FILLING

  • 1 tsp grated Ginger paste / Adrakh
  • 1 tsp Garlic paste / Lasan
  • 1-2 tbsp Oil / Tel
  • 1 onion/ Pyaz
  • 1 cup Cabbage / Patta Gobhi
  • 1 cup grated Carrot / Gajar
  • 1 tsp Chilli paste / Hari Mirch
  • Salt to taste
  • 1/2 cup Capsicum / Shimla mirch
  • 1/2 tsp Pepper / Kali mirch

Method:-

  1. In hot oil add grated garlic and ginger.SautƩ over low just for a minute.
  2. Next adding onions sautƩ them over a medium heat just for 2-3 minutes.
  3. Now we will add chopped cabbage,grated carrot with Salt and green chilli paste.
  4. Continue sauting over medium to high till the veggies turn a little bit tender.
  5. Drop chopped capsicum adding pepper and cook for another couple of minutes.
  6. Switch off meanwhile knead a dough which is
  7. neither too soft nor stiff adding above mentioned ingredients.
  8. Cover and keep dough to rest for about 15 minutes.
  9. Divide dough into small balls to roll out about 4 inch diameter thin roti or sheet.
  10. Drop the stuffing over the Roti and fold it in your desired MoMo shape or design.
  11. Steam Momo for 10-12 minutes on medium .
  12. Serve hot with Tomato chutney or ketchup.

Tips :

  • Grease your perforated plate before putting momoā€™s to steam or line it with banana leaf.
  • When momoā€™ s look translucent,it shows they are ready.
