This is without gravy dhaba style creamy Paneer matar Bhurji that is easy and quick to make.
Ingredients:- ( Serve 4 )
- 500 gm Cottage cheese / Paneer
- 1 tbsp Butter
- 1 tbsp Oil
- 2-3 Bayleaves / Tej patta
- 1/2 tsp Cumin / Zeera
- 2 Onion / Pyaaz
- 1 tsp Ginger / Adrakh
- 1 tsp Garlic / Lasan
- 1/2 cup Peas / Matar
- Salt to taste
- 1/2 tsp Kashmiri Red Chilli powder
- 1/2 tsp Turmeric / Haldi
- 1/2 tsp Coriander / Dhaniya
- 2 Tomatoes / Tamatar
- 1/2 tsp Chilli paste
- 1/4 tsp Cinnamon / Dalchini
- 1 tbsp Lemon juice
- 1 tbsp Dry Fenugreek leaves / Kasoori methi
- 1/2 tsp Garam masala
Method:-
- Heat Oil and Butter together .
- In hot Butter oil add Bayleaves and Cumin.Roast for 30 seconds over low.
- Add chopped Onion.Saute over medium for 2-3 minutes.
- Drop in Ginger-Garlic paste.
- Continue sauting till Onion turns translucent.
- Add Peas,Chilli powder,Turmeric,Coriander and Salt.
- Sauté for a minute.
- Add chopped Tomatoes and Chilli paste.Saute for couple of minutes and then add 1 cup water.
- Cover and let it cook over medium for 5 minutes or till Peas and Tomatoes get tender.
- Add Cinnamon,Lemon juice,Dry Fenugreek,Garam Masala and Cottage cheese.
- Cook and mix for 5 minutes.
- Serve with Paratha.
Tips :
- Don’t over dry Matar paneer,keep it moist.
