A popular bakery product from Hyderabad,this homemade Osmania biscuits will melt in your mouth.
Ingredients:-Â ( Serve 37 )
- 160 gm Salted Butter
- 1/2 cup Powdered Sugar
- 40 ml Milk
- 1/4 tsp Vanilla essence
- 1/2 tsp Cardamom powder / Elachi
- 3 tbsp Milk powder
- 2 cup Refined flour / Maida
- 1/2 tsp Baking powder
- Saffron milk
Method:-
- Beat sugar with butter to make it smooth and fluffy.
- Now mix with this Milk,Vanilla essence,Cardamom and Milk powder.
- In another bowl mix Refined flour and Baking powder together.
- Mix and add the bowl of dry ingredients with wet ingredients.
- Bring together all the ingredients to form a dough without kneading it.
- Roll out a portion of the dough into a centimetre thick sheet.
- Brush cut cookies with saffron milk.
- Cut cookies with a cookie cutter and bake them over a baking tray at 180°c for 15-20 minutes.
Tips :–
- Kneading the dough forms gluten and gluten makes the dough stretchable which can make your biscuits hard.
