Soya chaap has been now the most recent craze in vegetarian and is also popularly known as vegetarian chicken.Be any Indian wedding or marriage you will surely find a stall of soya chaap tikka or soya chap tandoori.Here let’s see how basic soya chaap stick is made.

Ingredients:- ( Serve 50 )

  • 1 cup Soyabean Dal
  • 1 cup Soya chuncks
  • Salt
  • 2 tbsp Oil
  • 3+1/2 cup Refined flour / Maida
  • 2 tbsp Oil

Method:-

  1. Soak soyabean in 1 cup warm water adding 1/4th teaspoons Salt for 4 hours.
  2. Put Soya chunks in boiling water adding 1/2 tsp salt for half an hour or till tender.
  3. Grind Soyabean into a fine paste adding 3/4th cup of water.
  4. Squeeze out water from soya chunks and grind them too into a paste.
  5. Combine both Soyabean and soya chunks paste to a soft dough adding Maida and Oil.
  6. Divide the dough in small portions and roll out into a centimetre thick sheet.
  7. Cut the sheet into strips.
  8. Starting from the tips of candy stick roll the strip over it till the end.
  9. Drop the made soya chaap sticks in boiling water and let them boil over medium for 25-30 min.
  10. Cool and freeze in ziplock bag.

Tips :-

  • Press both the ends of the strip on the stick to secure it.
