Gujrati Thepla can be called best Indian bread for breakfast made with sorted spices and goodness of chosen veggies and lentils.Here we make it with Bottle gourd / Lauki.
Ingredients :- ( Serves 8 )
- 250 gm Bottle gourd / Lauki
- Salt to taste
- 1/4 tsp Turmeric / Haldi
- 1/4 tsp Chilli powder
- 1/2 tsp Garam masala
- 1 tsp Mango powder / Amchur
- 1 tsp Coriander powder / Dhaniya
- 1/2 tsp Ajwain / Carom seeds
- 1 tsp Dry Fenugreek leaves / Kasoori methi
- 1/2 tsp Nigella / Kalonji
- 2 Green chillies
- 1 tsp Ginger / Adrakh
- 1 tbsp Green Coriander / Dhaniya
- 2 cup Wheat flour
- 1 tbsp Curd
- Oil / Butter
Method:-
- Shred Lauki mix it with flour adding all the ingredients to form a soft dough.
- Apply little Oil over the dough,covet and keep it to rest for about a 15 minutes.
- Next pinch balls out of dough and roll out thin rotis.
- Roast till brown spots on medium over Griddle / Tawa adding a teaspoon oil on both sides.
- Serve hot with curd or Pickle.
