This Pineapple upside down cake has a unique flavour of its own and it not only tastes and looks temptingly beautiful but also tastes deliciously fruity.
Ingredients :-Â
- 5 Pineapple 1/2 inch thi slices
- 10-12 Cherries
- 1 cup Milk
- 1 tsp Vinegar
- 1/4 cup Salted Butter
- 1/2 cup Brown sugar
- 1+1/2 cup Refined flour / Maida
- 1 tsp Baking powder
- 1/4 tsp Baking soda
- 1/4 cup Castor sugar or powdered sugar
- 1/2 cup Oil
- 1/2 cup Condensed milk
- 1 tsp Vanilla extract
Method:-
- Add Vinegar to Milk and keep it aside for 5 minutes.
- Add Brown sugar to butter & let the sugar melt over a low heat till you get a sauce like consistency.You can also add 1 tablespoon to 1/4th cup Water if required to melt the sugar.
- Immediately pour this sugar sauce in your baking pan and fit to arrange sliced Pineapple pieces on it with its middle part removed.
- In the middle arrange the cherries.
- Now make the cake batter starting with dry ingredients.Sift Refined flour,Baking powder,Baking soda,Castor sugar in a bowl and keep it aside.
- Take another bowl and in this add Oil,Consistency milk,Vanilla and our side kept vinegar milk.
- Slowly mix the bowl of dry ingredients in the bowl of wet ingredients to make the cake batter.
- Pour this cake batter over our arranged Pineapple pieces in the baking pan.
- Over the gas stove we had kept an old wide vessel with a stand and lid on to preheat at low for 10 minutes.
- Next place the baking pan on the stand ,close the lid of vessel and let the cake bake on low-medium for 50-55 minutes.
- Insert toothpick to check if it’s done.
- Let the cake come down to room temperature and then flip it upside down.
- Cut & serve.
Tips :-
- If possible you can also make this sauce in your baking pan.
- Instead of brown Sugar you can even use caramelised Sugar.
- You can use canned or fresh sweet Pineapple.
- You can bake Pineapple upside down cake in microwave convection or oven at 180°C for 35-40 min.
