Eggless Apple Vanilla Spongy Cake Without Oven

Bake a eggless sponge cake without a proper oven perfectly over a gas top using any old Kadhai or pressure cooker.

Ingredients :-

  • 2 cup Refined flour / Maida
  • 1/4 cup powdered Sugar
  • 1/2 tsp Baking soda
  • 2 tsp Baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp Cinnamon powder / Dalchini
  • 4 tbsp Oil
  • 40 gm Salted butter
  • 1 cup Condensed milk
  • 1 cup fresh cream
  • 1 tsp Vanilla
  • 2 tsp Vinegar
  • 1/2 cup Milk
  • 2 medium Apples

Method:-

  1. Sift maida,sugar,baking soda,baking powder and Dalchini all together.
  2. In another bowl drop Oil,butter,condensed milk,fresh cream,vanilla and vinegar.
  3. Blend all ingredients using a hand blender or whisk.
  4. Now add the bowl of dry ingredients in wet little at a time to get right consistency adding milk.
  5. Cut apples in small cubes and drop it in made cake batter.Mix.
  6. Line your cake tin with butter paper and then grease it with oil.
  7. Drop the cake batter in cake tin ( 6.5 inch diameter),wobble and tap to level the batter.
  8. Cover and preheat a Kadhai or a old pressure cooker over low for 10 minutes.
  9. Place a stand,cookie cutter or a katori and on it place the cake tin
  10. Cover and bake over medium for 45-60 minutes.
  11. Take out and let it cool keeping a clean cloth over it to get a soft crust.

Tips :-

  • Insert a toothpick in centre to check if your cake is properly baked or not.
