Dough for the tikki is made using 2 cup whole wheat flour, 1/2 tsp salt, 1/4 tsp baking soda, 1 boiled potato, 1/2 tsp carom seeds, water, & 1 tbsp oil.

Keep dough to rest for 10 to 15 minutes after applying oil then covering it.

The filling for the tikki includes 2 tbsp each of cauliflower, capsicum, carrot, peas, fresh coriander, 1 onion,1 tsp ginger paste, 1/2 tsp chilli paste, & 1 tbsp oil.

Also Salt, 1/2 tsp cumin powder and 1 tsp mango powder are added to the filling mixture.

Now divide the dough into two parts, with one part kept covered.

Roll the dough into a sheet, not too thick nor too thin.

Spread 5 to 6 tbsp of the filling on the sheet leaving the edges.

Roll the sheet tightly to form a log and sealed at both ends.

Divided the log into equal parts and flattened it into tikki shape using palms.

Shallow-fry tikki in oil until crisp and golden brown. Serve hot with sauce or chutney.
