Authentic Ukadiche Modak

To 1 tsp Ghee add 2 cup grated Coconut,1/4 cup each Almonds & Cashews. Roast 2-3 minutes.

Add 1 cup Jagger, 1/2 tsp each Nutmeg, green Cardamom powder & 1/4 tsp Salt.

Cook till Jaggery melts & everything is well combined.

Add together 1/4 cup each Water & Milk. Also 1/4 tsp Salt & 2 tsp Ghee.Let come to boil.

Add 1 cup Rice flour, Mix and then switch off. Keep to rest for 10 minutes

Knead into a soft dough when still warm.

Spread small dough ball into small roti with thin edges.

Step

Super soft Moong Dal Burfi without 

Place a small ball of filling and shape into a pleated Modak.

Step

Steam 10-12 minutes till glossy.

Step

Garnish with some Saffron soaked in warm melted Ghee.
