Ginger bread cookies made during Christmas are usually baked in human shape but here the taste would be same but shape is your own choice.If you like you can even add frosting on top.
Ingredients :- ( Serves 25 )
- 2 cup Refined flour / Maida
- 1/2 tsp Baking soda
- 1/4 tsp Salt
- 1/2 tsp Cinnamon powder / Dalchini
- 1/4 tsp Cloves powder / Loung
- 3/4 tsp Nutmeg powder / Jaiphal
- 1 tsp Ginger paste / Adrakh or 1/4 tsp Dry Ginger powder / Saunth
- 1/4 cup Butter
- 1/4 cup Sugar
- 4 tbsp Honey
- 1/4 tsp Orange flavour
- 1/4 cup Yogurt or 1 Egg
Method:-
- In a bowl mix all the dry ingredients.
- And in another bowl add nicely blend all the wet ingredients.
- Now mix the bowl of wet ingredients into wet ingredients making a soft dough.
- Wrap the dough in a cling film and refrigerate it for about 4 hours.
- Take out the dough and roll out in a half centimetre thick sheet.
- Cut out cookies using a cookie cutter and place them on a baking tray.
- Bake at 180°C for 15-20 min.
- Serve or store in a airtight container.
Tips :-
- Refrigeration of dough makes cookies more tasty.
